That being said, our egos need your help! Tell your friends to come visit our site!
We're approaching 8000 unique visitors on our website within its first year! We would love to see that number hit 10k before the end of March 8th, for no other reason than to say "oh sweet, 10k in our first year!"
That being said, our egos need your help! Tell your friends to come visit our site!
To anyone who tried to/wanted to watch the live stream today, we unfortunately encountered a flurry of technical difficulties, most of which turned out to be nothing major. There was a lot of confusion due to some literal last minute changes in software, and in hindsight we clearly see what went wrong.
To avoid boring you with the technical details, let's just say we goofed quite a bit, and we sincerely apologize for it.
BUT! With some diligent troubleshooting and evaluation of the issues, we can now confidently say we will be able to do a successful live-streamed version of the podcast in the near future!
We will still be releasing an episode with Scott (Newtral) on Monday as regularly scheduled, and we will most likely be including a video version of the episode on youtube and/or our website. Sorry again, and thanks for tolerating our momentary lapse in technical incompetence :D
This Friday, October 27th, we will be experimenting with our first ever LIVE VIDEO PODCAST! Chris and Jason of Buzzed Conversations will be welcoming guest Newtral for the live podcast and we will be revealing his
new album titled: My Own Shadow.
Join us for this live event at 2pm eastern time for some fun conversation, songs from the album, and a little behind the scenes of the making of My Own Shadow, as well as the making of Buzzed Conversations! We hope to see you then!
Hey all! We haven't made an updated post in this news feed for quite some time, so I figured I'd do my best to catch everyone up on what's happened recently for Bafustago.
In the past few months, we have successfully built the Buzzed Conversations Podcast into a notable podcast by way of getting it approved and put up on iTunes and Google Play for an easier listening and downloading experience. This involved learning html and xml from scratch because as you probably already know, that's what we do here. No proper education required, simple diligence and dedication is all anyone needs to learn something and apply that new knowledge to a project to get it completed! In addition to all that, we put our heads together to come up with a stylish logo for the podcast that we're rather proud of...
We've also made some minor changes to this website in an effort to make navigation a bit less complicated. Even in the midst of all this learning and doing, we are working on ideas for new videos, and we are currently developing our first video game (details will come in the future).
We are proud of what we are doing, and we truly hope you are inspired to do what you can to impress yourself. After all, that's what it's all about here at Bafustago. We want to show the world that it's not impossible to learn how to do a ton of different things. It's not lame to be smart. It's worth while to do what you love, even if you have to take a few risks to do it. We really want to change the dialogue on how people should live their lives. It's always been a theme that everyone should pick one skill and get really good at it, but we say screw that. You can be good at everything you choose to be good at, and do it all at the same time! Perhaps it's the "stranded on a desert island" mentality, what would you do to survive if you were alone? Of course it's highly unlikely you will ever need to do that, but why not know how? It feels good to know things and to accomplish tasks that you wouldn't have ever thought about accomplishing!
Anyway, we are very grateful for your support and we hope you get as much out of our content as we put in, because yes we do these things to make ourselves happy, but we post them online to make you happy :)
Thank you all for joining us on this crazy, fun ride!
A long time friend of ours, Scott Pierce (aka Newtral) has just released a new song! He makes electronic style music, and this new song is pretttty sweet. It's titled Why? and it is the first song he has released in a while as he has been spending time perfecting his art. We would love for you to go check it out on his soundcloud page and leave comments about how great it is!
A little backstory, Scott attended the same schools as the four of us, and grew up down the street from Jason. Always passionate about music, he has been creating it for many years, and was also in charge of the radio show that Chris, Alex, and Jason were on at their high school. Some would say Scott was the best at hosting a radio show out of all of us! On top of all of that, Scott earned a degree at New England Art Institute in Boston (the city in which he currently resides) where he learned sound engineering. The perfect degree for a musician/song writer!
So again, please go give his song a listen and there are more songs on his soundcloud as well if you're interested! I'll also embed the player below so you don't need to click around if you don't want to. Enjoy!
Today marks the release of episode 9 of Buzzed Conversations, meaning a swift 18 weeks have past since we've started this project. Time really does fly when you're having fun! In this episode, we continue talking with Zachary Allen and dive deeper into popular culture topics. We span about 40 years worth of references, many video games, and some movies sprinkled in as well. Yes, we have already dedicated a previous episode to talk about video games, but they are a big part of our lives and what we do as a company as well, so it's only fitting to get into that topic now and then. However, if video games don't float your boat, don't pass on giving this episode a listen. We spend a while talking about things you probably do care about. And as usual, we have a pretty fun time with a lot of laughs, so even if you don't know the references, there is still plenty of fun to be had! Thanks for listening, and be sure to check out all of the past episodes too. We all have our occasional days in traffic, and this podcast is a great way to pass the time. New episodes release every other Monday, so keep in touch!
For Bafustago, Cinco de Mayo is more than just an Americanized version of a Mexican holiday designed to sell alcohol... it is Alex's birthday! So yes, of course we drink margaritas and have a good time, but we are celebrating something more than an advertizing scheme.
Everyone be sure to wish Alex a happy birthday (I advise doing it at 11:59 pm tonight) you can
Along with our efforts to add the Buzzed Conversations podcast to more platforms, Jason has decided to take on another new project, learning how to truly create a website from scratch. The plan is to develop a more interactive and appealing experience for our viewers to enjoy. Expect to see these updates go into effect some time in the next few months. The primary changes will include a more functional and unique audio player for the podcast, a new interface for page navigation, a neater system for organising video links, a slightly new decorative scheme throughout the site, and many more changes as well. In the meantime, visit the Buzzed Conversations page to hear episode 8, along with all the prior episodes! And as always, we love to hear your feedback, so don't be shy!
In this weeks episode of Buzzed Conversations, we sat down and spoke with Zack Deus. He is the owner of Something Simple Co which is a clothing company focused primarily on creating artistic, relatable streetwear. It's a lifestyle brand and they have something for everyone. Head on over to the website and browse the shop! When you buy something leave a comment here and let us know what you got! We've been close to Zack since he started SoSiCo and we couldn't be more proud of the hard work and accomplishments he has with the company so far, and he values all of his customers immensly so don't be shy! Get on there and check it out! When you're finished with your visit, head on over to listen to Buzzed Conversations Episode 7 where Zack describes the journey of starting a clothing company!
In the latest episode of Buzzed Conversations, Chris and Jason are joined by Chris' brother DJ who you may know from our Blindfold Challenge series. We discuss things like high school, technology (and how quickly it changes), taxes, wine, and more. Click here to give it a listen!
This is also the first MP3 version of the podcast, so let us know what you think of the sound quality, whether good or bad!
